Settings

1. Visual & Theme
Theme Preset
Choose visual identity
Switches the app's color palette (background, surfaces, and accent color) across every page. Applies instantly and is saved for next time you open the app.
Custom Accent Color
Override brand highlight color
Overrides the highlight color used for buttons, active tabs, and badges — on top of whatever theme you picked above. Pick a color to override; the theme preset's own accent is used until you do.
Cinematic Backdrop Effects
Turns off the fade/blur mask on backdrop images (movie/series pages) and the glow effects on the splash screen, for a flatter, lower-GPU-cost look.
2. Playback Engine
Main Server
Default streaming provider
Which of the 3 streaming sources is pre-selected on the Play button when you open a movie or episode. You can still switch servers manually inside the player.
Autoplay Player
When on, the video starts playing immediately once the player opens, instead of waiting for you to press play inside the embed.
Autoplay Next Episode
TV shows only. When on, a "Next Episode" button appears near the end of an episode and the player auto-advances to the next one on Server 1.
Remember Playback Position
Resumes playback from where you left off next time you open the same title. Note: since the video players are external sites, FLIXIO can only apply this at the moment you press Play — it can't track your position live while the player is open.
3. Display & Layout
Show Continue Watching
Shows or hides the "Continue Watching" row on the Home screen. Your watch history is kept either way — this only controls whether the row is displayed.
Reduced Motion
Disables all CSS animations and transitions app-wide — card hover/scale effects, splash screen rings, filter pill transitions, everything. Useful if animation causes discomfort or you're on a low-power device.
Compact Mode
Shrinks poster cards and tightens spacing between rows so more titles fit on screen at once.
Large Text Mode
Scales up nearly all text across the entire app (titles, descriptions, buttons, nav labels) for easier reading.
Show Ratings on Cards
Shows the star rating badge (TMDB score) in the corner of every poster card, across Home, Search, and More Like This rows.
Show Release Years
Shows the release year next to the title underneath each poster card.
Show Watched Labels
Shows a "✓ Watched" badge on posters you've marked as watched (via the Mark as Watched button on a movie's page).
Search Result Density
Controls how many poster columns fit per row on the Search page. Compact Grid packs smaller cards more tightly; Comfortable uses larger cards.
Card Animations
Controls the hover/press scale effect on poster cards specifically. "Reduced" uses a smaller, faster scale; "Disabled" removes it entirely. (For turning off ALL app-wide animation, use Reduced Motion above instead.)
4. Personalization & Data
Preferred Content Type
Filters the Home screen's category rows to Movies-only or TV-only. "Mixed" shows both, matching the TV Shows/Movies filter pills at the top of Home.
Preferred Genres
Adds a "For You" row to the top of Home's category list, pulling from whichever genres you select here. Select none to skip this row.
Data Saver Mode
Low resolution poster images
Loads smaller poster images (w300 instead of w500) everywhere in the app to reduce mobile data usage. Slight quality reduction, faster loads.
Haptic / Touch Feedback
Triggers a short vibration on supported devices when you toggle a setting or open the player. No effect on devices/browsers without vibration support.
Language
Requests titles, overviews, and metadata from TMDB in this language where available. Some titles may not have a translation and will fall back to English.
Default Landing Page
Which page the splash screen sends you to after it finishes loading, both on first launch and after any refresh.
5. Storage Management
These actions are permanent and can't be undone.
